How to use the Customer Verification & Approval feature?

Optional feature: Rental Operators can use this to mandate customer verification before the customers can make a confirmed booking via the white-labeled customer mobile app or website. Prerequisite: You should have this mobile app/website set up.

Step 1: This feature is set at the organisation level. By default, this feature is disabled for all organisations. To enable it, go to Settings and then click on Organisation.

Step 2: Click on the Organisation Name to open and view the Organisation Structure.

Step 3: Here, you'll see a new checkbox below the Upload A File button which says 'Mandate Customer Verification & Approval' along with a short description.

Step 4: Click on the checkbox and then click on the Save button to enable this feature.

Step 5: Now, on the white-labeled customer mobile app or website, whenever a customer tries to make a confirmed booking, they will be shown a 'Customer Verification' screen. Customer Mobile App

Step 6: The end customer needs to provide additional details like their profile photo, driving license, and insurance details in the Account section and then click on the Submit button.

Step 7: Once the Submit button is clicked, a verification request email and web app notification are triggered for the Rental Operator.

Step 8: The Rental Operator can open the customer's profile on the web app, verify the additional details provided by the customer and choose to either Approve or Decline the verification request.

Step 9: If the verification request is approved by the Rental Operator then a verification-approved email is triggered immediately and sent to the customer's email address. The customer can then view the Verification Status as Approved on their Account screen on the mobile app/website and then go on to the Trips screen on the mobile app or the Bookings section on the website to find the quote, make the payment and confirm their booking.

Step 10: If the verification request is declined by the Rental Operator then a verification-declined email is triggered immediately and sent to the customer's email address. The customer can then view the Verification Status as Declined (along with any notes provided by the rental operator) on their Account screen on the mobile app/website and resubmit the additional details to send another verification request to the Rental Operator as required.

Important Note: Customer Approval is a one-time process and the approval doesn't need to happen each time the customer wants to create a confirmed booking. Once the customer is approved by the Rental Operator then they will be able to create any number of confirmed bookings until they're declined.
